Age 3.

Then & now.

Vintage dresses.  I love them all, too much.  As first stated two posts ago, Post 8.  I especially love dresses from the 50's and the 60's.  I love floral, plaid, polka dots, chiffon, lace and everything in between.

Ma said I started sketching dresses as soon as I learned how to pick up a pencil.  Clearly, I learned how to put them on myself at age three.

For the past 4 years, I have been trying to figure out what I want to be.  I think I've switched to and from every major possible.  Someday, I'll figure it all out and it will be great.

Until then, I will continue to love vintage dresses, listen to The Lovin' Spoonful over and over, and eat the entire continent of Antarctica in the form of snow cones.

Lensed life lately...

I hope you all had a really great Memorial Day Weekend.

Hot Rollers.

The second best part about having a day off is being able to paint my nails!

Minted by Revlon has been my absolute favorite for a while now.
It's going to take quite the shade to jump ahead.

Three things I look for when picking out nail polish:
1.  Quick-dry.  I'm occasionally impatient (shocking, I know).
2.  Color.  I'm a sucker for pastels, brights, and the color black.
3.  Cheap.  Enough said.
Win.  Win.  Win.

One day, I'm going to have a job that will let me have my nails painted 24/7.
I think I'm automatically 15% happier when they're painted.

Two words.  Hot.  Rollers.
Ma raised me with these.
When I was real young, she would put up my hair in foamies every night.
When I was young, she would would crimp my hair every day before school.
When I wasn't as young as I was, she would put my hair up in hot rollers every day before school.
I still remember the set she used to have.
Now I have my own set and they are wonderful.

P.s. Shout out to all the turtle lovers out there :-) Happy turtle day!

Sophisticated & Proper.

I love vintage dresses.
I feel rebellious when I take pictures in dressing rooms.
I would've bought this dress if it was my size.
I love vintage shoes.
They make me feel sophisticated and proper.
I'm hardly either of those two things.
I love pearls.
Hand-me-down pearls are the best kind.
This clutch and necklace were my great-grandma Fern's.
My shampoo has pearl powder in it.

Grantsville.

I have a thing for yard sales.
I stop at cool ones.
Grantsville, Utah had a cool one on a Saturday, not too long ago.
Here's why..
A little less cash than I had prior and a big smile later, my mom and I hoisted it into my little convertible car.
We drove home and it was a day that I will always think back to and love.
Not because of my purchase, but because of my mom.
Good weather, good conversation, and good company (the best of company).
I really love her.  She is the best person I've ever known.

Some of you may be asking yourselves why I bought a baby carriage.
Besides its vintage splendor, I hope to use it one day, someday.

On repeat.. Guinevere & Even If It Breaks Your Heart by Eli Young Band.
Overly excited for.. Snowie shacks!  They are starting to open!

P.s. I'm loving the lilacs outside my window.
